A friend of mine turned me on to this New York based player. This is his latest album and it's a real corker. Just "good old fashioned modern jazz?" Check out www.joelfrahm.com
Teodross Avery - "Bridgin' the Gap" Love the way this guy plays and sounds. This is like a hip hop/jazz fusion, and works really well. Check it out at www.teodrossavery.com or stick his name in youtube for some great straight ahead stuff.

Website update - Feb 2009

I've finally got around to updating my website. It's got a new audio page with embedded MP3 player, so you can listen to lots more music, a new gallery page with different pictures, and updated links on the links page. I intend to add a kind of education section soon, with various exercises available to download for students, and links to useful resources on the internet.

What's goin' on...

It's been a busy year, lots of interesting gigs, in many different situations. I've been busy with Mamma Freedom, finishing of the debut album "Preachers and Criminals". There has been lots of interest from the U.S. in the band, and we have now got representation in New York with the Carlini Group a media group who represent a wide range of artists from Ennio Morricone and Jan Hammer to Lenny White and Eumir Deodato.

"Bampoot" - my own quartet has been in the studio playing some of my tunes, have a listen in the audio page.

Most recently I have been working on a three-way collaboration with Brighton based musician and producer Matt "Frameworks" Brewer and American rapper Blu Rum13 - I'll post some excerpts when the tracks are finished.
